- In this session learn how to get started with your family research, where to access free research tools and how to organize your research findings.

The Black Homesteaders
- This session will discuss the Homestead Act of 1862 and the implications for African American researchers searching for public land under this act. You will also learn about the public land states; the eligibility requirements; the application process to acquire this land, and how to locate a land patent using the Bureau of Land Management website:

- The 1950 census will be released for public use on April 1, 2022. This brief presentation provides an overview of what is included in the 1950 census, what you can do to get ready now, and what you can expect from the National Archives website that will be devoted exclusively to this census.

Linda will review some of the elements and where you can find these resources such as ancestral home maps, images, county histories and more. Every family has a story!
