We are pleased to announce that the following new resources are now available to support patrons’ research and education. These are free of charge to use at our FHC:
Education:
We have a subscription to Legacy Family Tree Webinars which has over 820 presentations from which you can select a wide variety of topics for viewing. There are two new webinars added every week. You can search by presenter’s name, topic, or date. We have headsets available, or you can bring your earbuds.
Newspaper databases: The following two websites provide thousands of birth, marriage and death announcements, news articles and obituaries.
- Newspapers.com, the largest online newspaper archive with over 11,000 newspapers from the 1700s–2000s
- GenealogyBank.com, a collection of over 9,000 newspapers with more than 250 million obituaries.
All of these resources are available at every computer. Please ask a staff member for assistance in accessing these tools.
