Navigating the Holdings of AGAD (Archiwum Główne Akt Dawnych) in Poland
This guide shows how to research a collection of records originating primarily in the southeastern part of present-day Poland and the southwestern part of present-day Ukraine. The records have recently been transferred to the Central Archives of Historical Records (AGAD) in Warsaw. There they are being repaired, restored, and digitized, after which they are made available, free of charge, through the AGAD website.
